A book by Kevin Dutton lists the top vocations that psychopaths are drawn toward, and TV and Radio media people and journalists hold down the third and sixth positions in the Top 10 List.

This comes as no surprise to those of us in Public Relations, who have dealt with these folks over the years (just kidding, of course?)

In his book The Wisdom of Psychopaths: What Saints, Spies, and Serial Killers Can Teach Us About Success, Dutton lists the top vocations that psychopaths are drawn toward and, conversely, the vocations that the fewest psychopaths go into.

Dutton argues that there are indeed ?functional psychopaths? among us?different from their murderous counterparts?who use their detached, unflinching, and charismatic personalities to succeed in mainstream society, and that shockingly, in some fields, the more ?psychopathic? people are, the more likely they are to succeed.
